Juve, Matri like Lazio.

Alessandro Matri leaving Turin is a concrete possibility. The Juventus striker likes Lazio and in recent days could be on the transfer market. In addition the same player would find a change of routine, disappointed by the fact that his coach  deploys him fourth in the hierarchy of the attackers with Anelka ready to surpass him.

Lazio, looking for a bit of value alongside Klose, is considering an offer to Turin club.

The Lopez - Anelka predicament

Here are the latest details of the transfer news and rumours.

Juventus is seeking to aquire the argentinian Lisandro Lopez from Olympique Lyonnais on loan with a fee and an option to purchase. It was his agent Hidalgo who first contacted Juventus just before Christmas. Lyonnais is looking for 2mil with an obligation to purchase in July at 7mil. This is the sticking point.

Enter Nicolas Anelka. According to Italian paper La Stampa, Juventus has reached an agreement with Anelka on a salary of 600,000 euros plus bonuses up to 700,000. Anelka would recieve 200,000 for playing over 11 games, 200,000 for the scudetto and an additional 300,000 for the Champions League. He is currently under contract with Shanghai, (a two year deal at 10 million euro), but it is widely agreed that they would release him from his contract.

To clarify, although an agreement on salary has been made, this by no means is a done deal because Juventus are waiting on movement from Lopez (Lyonnais). Anelka is the backup option should Lyonnais not loan Lopez to Juventus.

Juventus management will be on hand in France today at the match between Lyonnais and Valenciennes FC.

JUVE'S STRIKER OPTIONS REVEALED

Smoke signals sent regarding Juventus transfers. They've sent Juventus to Atletico Bilbao to convince them to accept an offer to release Llorente immediately. Every move these days have clarified Marotta's thinking to a simple equation: the Spanish influences all economic movements in January, since it is unthinkable to make large investments if an attacker comes in June, however, the Basque bomber might as well make an effort to come immediately to Turin and close the case. Yes, Llorente is the right strategy. Juventus management will wait a few days or even a week or more with patience.

The alternatives are only two, in the end, Drogba part-time (but the cost is considered excessive for him playing only from February to the end of May, regardless of the will of the player, who would not settle the mini-proposed contract) or tack on property with all the difficulties of the case. Yesterday's meeting with Genoa made it clear that it will not be easy to bring into the fold the attacker from Naples. Preziosi doesn't give up. The operation is still feasible but at this moment is considered more an option of stock. Juve will attempt to soften Athletic Bilbao raising the offer 2 to 4 million in order to release Llorente now. All the details of the market moves of Juventus appear on print. The Turin daily writes: Ciro Immobile, which spoke yesterday of Juventus and Genoa, is the exit security for Juventus: he will be the new striker for Antonio Conte if between now and the closing of the market, Marotta is locked out from the main shopping streets, Fernando Llorente more than Didier Drogba. For at least one week Juve will entertain them, and will make efforts to convince them, and only after then throw on Immobile because Bologna denied the `expatriation of Manolo Gabbiadini .

PRESSING ON FOSCHI . It seems it will not be easy even enlist the soldier again. Still, yesterday Rino Foschi, lowered the gate: "This is not a matter of Juventus or Real Madrid.. we still don't sell. The player is jointly owned between Genoa and Juventus: he can say what he wants, but he is here. " Code from the market, in response to the strikers comments the day before: " I'd go to Juve would fight for the championship rather then salvation." Let's say that the fans rossoblù have not taken it to well . The environmental incompatibility is often the most faithful friend of removals. For Immobile, that Juventus would be a return to the base, he was sent in Liguria `only last summer, co-owned, with an assessment (4 million for the half), boosted by the amazing season in Pescara under Zeman. Less recklesss playmakers and against the defenses in Serie A, so far he's been more human: 5 goals in 19 appearances, 16 as a starter. Genoa (and Juve) had already said no to a request from Palermo, so the option is open for Juventus, despite the denials. The trouble is that with Enrico Preziosi, number one red and blue, negotiations are always complicated. In case of an emergency, Juve wants the loan of Immobile in exchange for the redemption of the player in June but Genoa claims some spare parts: Padoin , which Del Neri has always liked, or Marrone. Don't even talk about it, the response of Marotta. We'll call again, because Conte wants a forward, it's easy to understand this: Vucinic is struggling with tendinitis, and Bendtner is healing indefinitely after his mishap: adductor of the right leg. Yesterday, the Danish cap, like every day in therapy, but on Saturday Conte was not optimistic: "Practically will be out the whole season."

In Denmark, the medical staff of the national team are having to trust the commitments of March, despite being aware of one thing: Bendtner has often suffered injury after a bad car accident in September 2009, when in London he ended up off the road by destroying his Aston Martin. Better not pretend too much, so much to protect themselves with another striker. Given the choice, the highest level. First call Llorente, whose early arrival will however cost an additional 3 to 5 million, instead of the zero in June.

For Drogba, however, is a matter of days, If his club doesn't pay his outstanding salary, the Ivorian `would automatically become free from Shanghai, and available for contract with Juventus. Otherwise, there would be only the exit security.

Immobile ready for Juve

Ciro Immobile , now at Genoa but co-owned by Juventus F.C., the reinforcement may be right for Antonio Conte. The player meanwhile said would not be afraid of the jump: "I spoke with Preziosi before Christmas and told me that I would stay at Genoa. But this was before of the interest of Juventus. Anyway, I'm ready , if the President decides that I should remain at Genoa, no problem.''

"But I would also like to go to Juventus - Immobile said - I would rather fight for the championship as a goal and not for salvation from religation. Seeing my name matched with players like Drogba and Llorente may seem exaggerated, but I would be ready for Juventus, because it would be an important occasion, the turning point in my career : whether it be good or bad. " And then in Turin could find Antonio Conte , after being together in Siena:'' He is a great motivator , careful, details in detail. Juventus led to a winning mentality. "

Immobile's words come a few hours from a new meeting between Preziosi and Juve scheduled for Tuesday. The club president Agnelli decided to put on the plate Simone Padoin, "liberated" from Conte, and an adjustment that should lead to an agreement on 5/6 million euro for the second half of the tag.

Time for the 4-3-3 ?

With Andrea Barzagli, Peluso and Caceres all having failed to fill the significant space left behind by Chiellini at various stages this season, it may well be the right time now for coach Antonio Conte to look at new ways to cover for the loss of Italy’s best defender. Throw in the continued lack of firepower in the forward line, and there is plenty of reason to believe that Juventus may be able to regain control of games by switching to a 4-3-3 formation.

Conte used the formation a lot during his early days in charge of the Turin side in late 2011, and the change to a three-man forward line bore fruit in the midweek Coppa Italia victory over AC Milan. Having an extra player in attack would allow Giovinco to play in the wide left slot in which he was infinitely more successful with Parma last season than he has been so far this term. He is currently on course to fall short of his 15-goal output of 2011-12, despite playing in a more dominant side which has had much more success in terms of possession and territory. Coming from the left, he looks far more comfortable in taking on full-backs and picking holes in defences.
The switch to four in defence would help to make up for the loss of Asamoah as well as Chiellini. Though the Ghana international is not a natural defender, his influence down the left in a defensive capacity should not be underestimated. And without him on the flank, Juve have struggled to give Chiellini’s understudy the required assistance in closing out dangerous opposing attackers. If Conte were to employ an orthodox full-back such as Paolo De Ceglie, or even switch Stephan Lichtsteiner to the left with Caceres or Mauricio Isla employed on the right, centre-backs Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli would be provided with the extra support that is lacking right now.
Bonucci has never excelled in a back four in the way that he has since Juve first switched to a 3-5-2, but with each passing game without Chiellini, the more opponents are able to exploit space behind the wing-backs, stretch the back three, and find holes from there. For now, this has to be the better option at a time when the Bianconeri are struggling to put together anything like the kind of performances that have become their trademark over the past 16 months.
With the in-form Udinese to come to the Juventus Stadium next week, Conte must consider a change of formation. If the current run of bad form continues, then they could find themselves in a Scudettorace that seemed unlikely to ever exist only 10 days ago.

Llorente e in arrivo

Juventus in talks with Bilbao’s Llorente

MADRID (Reuters)- Athletic Bilbao have confirmed that Fernando Llorente, a reported target for Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, is set to start contract talks with Juventus.
In a statement on their website, Bilbao said the player, out of contract in the summer, would hold talks with the Italian champions. "Juventus Football Club informed Athletic Club on 3 January that, knowing Fernando Llorente will end his time at our club on 30 June, 2013, they will begin negotiations with the player to incorporate him into their squad."
Llorente, a tall and powerful forward known as "the Lion King" because of his mane of blond hair, has barely featured for Bilbao since making clear his intention to leave when his contract ends in June.
A product of their youth academy, the Pamplona-born 27-year-old made his debut for the first team in 2005 and has scored 115 goals in 317 appearances over nine seasons.
He has a market value of 30 million euros $39.7 million (24.5 million pounds), according to transfermarkt.com, which tracks deals for soccer players.

Quagliarella to leave Juve?

FABIO QUAGLIARELLA OUT WITH THE ARRIVAL OF LLORENTE? We know that Beppe Marotta wants Fernando Llorente, Athletic Bilbao's Spanish striker now at odds with the Basque club. A word of caution to the effect that this may have on Fabio Quagliarella.

In summary, the situation is as follows:  June will see Llorente leave for free , and there is already a loose agreement with Juventus, but it would take him to Turin in January to strengthen a forward line that must meet the challenges in the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

For this  Llorente may come immediately but the Spanish team wants seven million while Juventus are poised to offer 4 million euros. The agreement, however, is not impossible. The scenarios may change the Juventus line up. There is talk that Basque strikers arrival wouldn't be particularly appreciated by Fabio Quagliarella, who might also go in January.

The reason is as follows: in the summer the Italian national team will play the Confederations Cup and Quagliarella wants to be there because he can be a starter in the world's 2014. A striker that under current hierarchies of Cesare Prandelli is back. Juventus do not play him as often as other strikers, even though he has scored more.

Fabio knows that Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco are untouchables, and if Juve were to get Llorente, Quagliarella would very likely to be in a reserve role.

Alessandro Matri could maybe accept this based on the way he has performed this season, but certainly Quagliarella would not be happy.

January could mark his departure and there are already some teams prepared to probe the market for the former Napoli player. In this way, Juventus could also finance the enhanced offer to Llorente precisely with the money collected from the departure of Quagliarella.
